In this lesson we discussed our film trailers that we made during the sumer holidays; my group failed to show our trailer to the class therefore we could not get any audience feed back on our work. What i am planning to do for next week is try to regain our finished trailer so i can analyse is myself and recieve further points to work on from my group members.
Lesson 2
In this lesson all the different groups in our media class presented presentations on their new trailer idea's, the trailers that were pitched were a film based on the blair witch project; an action movie and a film about a drug abuser that finds himself travelling in and out of wonderland through is drug use. Many of my peers used different films that inspired them to create their film idea's; such films like 'Alice in wonderland' and The Bourne trilogy. Due to attendance my group failed to present our film idea presentation to the class so my plan for next lesson is to have a planned idea on what we could base our film trailer on and to create a presentation that we can present to the class, film and then edit to put up on our blog.
Lesson 3
We spent this lesson focusing on our course work; we were given time to improve our Blog's and to edit our presentation and interview films. My group spent this lesson delivering a pitch for a Comic film trailer called 'Average Joe' we filmed this presentation that we gave to the class and then chose two individuals to answer questions about our chosen genre and film choice to really improve our audience feedback. We spent the rest of the lesson beginning to edit our film, my plan for our following media session is to have our presentation and question and answer time edited and up on the blog.
Lesson 4
We spent this lesson learning about the importance and the role of film distribution and the importance of film trailers; we went through some facts and some knowledge on the world of distribution and the different roles within it to improve our overall knowledge on the film industry.
Lesson 5
This lesson was dedicated to our coursework; i spent this lesson editing our presentation video to upload on my blog for my coursework. I had some difficulty with this because we need to change the format of the video for it to be eligible to be uploaded onto blogger and my group failed to discover the correct way of doing this. I also spent the rest of my time in this lesson uploading a 'slideshare' version of my film plan presentation to make it easy for the examiner to observe my presentation on the internet. My plan for our next coursework lesson is to have been able to upload our edited video and to have planned enough for our film trailer to be able to start shooting.
Lesson 6
My group spent this lesson filming practise shots for our overall film trailer; we used different locations in school to be able to plan some useful shots that could make it into our product. We shot overall about twenty different practise scenes and then we showed these to our media teacher who gave us the overall feedback we needed. Our superhero trailer is now becoming a super hero spoof because our chosen genre is hard to portray. For our next lesson we hope to have been able to have shot the real footage for our trailer and therefore be able to start editing.
Lesson 7
I was ill for this lesson therefore i wasnt able to continue with the filming but i believe that my group did and that during the october hald term we will have real footage that we can use in our trailer.
Lesson 8
We used this lesson to edit some of the filming we had done to be able to show it to our media group when need be and we also spent this lesson changing the formats to our previous presentation video to be able to embed into our blog.
Lesson 9
We spent this Lesson learning about different class representations in media history, we are learning this for our end of year exam and to expand our research part of our blog. Next lesson i plan to continue with my trailer filming.
Lesson 10
We spent this lesson showing each other the footage we have so far for our media product (trailer) so we could get some audience feedback on it. For next lesson i am planning to have more filming done for editing.
Lesson 11
We spent this lesson filming new footage for our trailer and we are planning to have more edited by next time.
Lesson 12
We spent this lesson showing new footage for our trailer to gain audience feedback, we concluded that we are very behind and need to start focusing more on the project as the deadline is looming round the corner, we have decided to dedicate our weekends until the deadline into filming and editing to be able to succeed and created the product in time, we are hoping that by next lesson we will have a succesfull almost completed trailer.
Lesson 13
We recieved negative feedback for our 'Average Joe' trailer therefore this lesson was spent planning and creating a new film idea that we could shoot a more successful trailer for. Next Lesson I am hoping to have enough planning to begin the shooting of my new trailer.
Lesson 14
This lesson was spent shooting different scenes for my new trailer that was inspired by 'Marble Hornets' the 'Youtube' video diaries about a horrific character. Next lesson I hope to have some useable footage and props and costumes for the rest of my scenes.
Lesson 15
This lesson was spent outside with our actors shooting the needed scenes for our horror trailer with props and costumes followed by an after school session in Tunbridge wells where I as the director filmed and controlled the shots needed. For next lesson I hope to have the needed shots to begin editing.
Lesson 16, 17 and 18
These three lessons were spent editing and perfecting our new trailer by adding captions and music. By next lesson I hope to have a finished trailer that I can get audience feedback from.
Lesson 19
The audience feedback I recieved in this lesson taught me that my trailer needed more work so I hope that next lesson the improvements would have worked and my trailer would finally be finished.
Lesson 20
This lesson was the lesson I finished my trailer and recieved audience feedback. I began planning my magazine cover and my poster. Next lesson I hope to be able to have enough research to begin my ancillary tasks.
Lesson 21
This lesson was spent creating a magazine cover for my trailer, I named the magazine 'Drive in' and finished it with posetive audience feedback. Next Lesson I hope to be able to start on my second ancillary task the film poster.
Lesson 22
This lesson was spent creating my last ancillary task, the film poster for my film 'The Man in the Mask' I finished making it and recieved audience feedback that I posted up on my wall. With all of my tasks finished I hope that next lesson I can start on my evaluation section.
Lesson 23, 24, 25, 26, 27
All these lessons were spent creating my evaluation for my tasks. I finished my evaluation and received a mark therefore I have completed my blog and all my tasks. Now I am hoping to use any time given in lessons to improve and add things to my blog.
