Focus Group Outcome

During one of our alotted media sessions we created a focus group to pitch ideas for a short film/trailer, i used the feedback i got from this focus group to decide what film idea to go for.

I pitched a film about a teenage boy that lives on the streets; this trailer/film woud consist of an establashment shot of him homeless; busking for money and generally having a harsh lonely life.
Other people in the focus group pitched such films that consisted of highly pacted action thrillers and film ideas tha contain car chases; murder and violence.

The focus group was mainly made up of males therefore the films pitched we're all very similar; the girls pitches on the other hand we're of a completely different genre; romance; sadness or comedy.

The focus group took a vote to decide whether we would make trailers or short films; trailers won the vote by having more supporters.
We then did a private vote to decide and agree on the pitched film that would be best to create in the alotted time we had been given. My film idea tied for first place with another pitch after the private voting with eleven nominations; this therefore has enhanced my confidence of doing the film i pitched and was the booster i needed to validate my idea and get started with it in my group of four.
