Film Case Study

This film was based on the book 'Forrest Gump' by Winston Groom; it was made because it was an existing story that many had already related to therefore the producers could risk their money on putting words from a page to life with the help of director Robert Zemeckis.


The film poster shows a man and a woman hugging over a picture of the Titanic's bow. In the background is a partly cloudy sky and at the top are the names of the two lead actors. The middle has the film's name and tagline, and the bottom contains a list of the director's previous works, as well as the film's credits, rating, and release date.

This film was one of the best engrossed films in history; it was made and based on the historical event and a previous remake. With a Budget of $200 Million Dollars this film had a lot to stand by and James Cameron risked a lot of money for this creation, but it paid off because the story; the cast and the effects were magnificent.



This is two movie case studies on films that were created in the past that succeeded because of the great choices of what to shoot; how to shoot and how to present the shot. The nine step film making process made these two films succesfull.
