Horror is a genre that has high restrictions when it comes to the age of those who can witness it. 'Marble Hornets' being the film series on youtube that influenced our trailer decision, is based for those who are 15 and over therefore I have decided to make my target audience males and females between the ages of 15 and 35.
Everybody loves a good horror but when you get to a certain age it becomes childish and unbelieveable. that is why i have my chosen target audience ending at age 35. When you are fifteen Horror's still affect you and have a good reception from the viewers but you are still aware that it is based on a fictional story therefore you leave spooked but not completely terrified, this is why my film is for those fifteen and over.
This is my chosen target audience because I believe that i will recieve the best feedback from this range of people and as my decoders they would recieve the prefered meaning that is intended when they watch my media product.
